Mother’s Day is only a couple of weeks away! If you’re still shopping, here are a few ideas to help! You can never go wrong with jewelry, mask chains are very 2021 (but hopefully will be just sunglass chains soon), banana clips are making a comeback and anything homemade is always a favorite. This year, I’ll be attempting to make these silhouettes for my girls. I think it will make for perfect DIY artwork for our new bonus room. More on this below.
| Canvas | Acrylic Paint Set | Finger Paint Set | Kids Paint Bucket Set | Black Vinyl | Tortoise Sunglasses/Mask Chain | Initial Necklace | Beaded Sunglass/Mask Chain | Banana Clips | Initial Post Earrings | Initial Huggies | Interlocked Circles Necklace | Press-on Manicure | Gold Beaded Sunglasses/Mask Chain |
And if you decide to go the home spa route, like with some hair clips and the manicure, Target has some really cute ‘Mom Bomb’ bath bomb options. I may or may not have already bought one for myself and my mom.

If the DIY silhouettes have perked your interest, here is a great reference to show you how to create your own! Other ideas include placing the silhouette on canvas and carefully painting around it or painting canvas and adding a cut piece of vinyl on top.
Experiences also make great gifts. Two years ago, I took my Mom to a tea at a nice hotel. We got dressed up, enjoyed champagne, sipped on two different types of tea and had little finger sandwiches and plenty of sweets. We had so much fun that we decided to do it again the next year as well as a stay and spa visit at the hotel too. Then the pandemic hit and we had to postpone all of that but hopefully we can do that together next year!
And not all gifts have to cost money. Sometimes the greatest gift is just your time. Either with a phone or a visit. Memories last forever.
What are your plans for Mother’s Day this year?
