Hippity, Hoppity, Easter’s on its way!
Happy first official day of spring! It’s a chilly day here in South Carolina, but the sun in shining and we are two weeks away from Easter weekend! Easter is my absolute favorite holiday. I love the weather, how everything turns green again, decorating for spring, and celebrating my birthday as well as our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
My home decor usually goes straight from the little bit of Valentine’s Day that I put out to full blown Easter. However, this year, being in the middle of a big reno, we weren’t sure what our timeline was going to look like. The initial plan was to finish the upstairs beginning to the middle of March and then start our downstairs projects in April. Therefore, I didn’t want to decorate for Easter if it meant I was just going to have to take it all down before the holiday even got here. Well as it stands now, we are still several weeks away from finishing upstairs after some setbacks so hopefully we can have it wrapped up by the end of April. At that point, I think we will need a breather (like the rest of the year) from the rollercoaster we have been on to regroup before tackling downstairs.
We typically don’t do anything for St. Patrick’s Day other than wear green, but since we weren’t yet in Easter mode, the girls and I had fun making a leprechaun trap as well as some of other themed crafts!
So with St. Patrick’s Day crafts cleaned up, if you need me, I’ll be decorating for Easter.
I hope you find these basket ideas helpful and enjoy some of my other fun finds!

Easter Graphic Tees
I love a good graphic tee and I thought these were so fun for Easter and springtime! Especially with a jean jacket or cardigan thrown on top. I originally saw these several weeks ago on Jane.com, but they are currently out of stock. Not sure if they will restock, however, I did find the same shirts on Etsy.
The Impossible Egg Hunt
This year, Skittles came out with new packaging they are calling “The Impossible Egg Hunt.” It puts a fun twist on egg hunts without needing the eggs! On one side, the fun size bags are typical pastel Easter colors. But on the other side, they are printed with common surroundings like carpet, tile, tree bark, grass and asphalt. Check them out to have a little extra fun with your hunt this year both inside and outside!
Stay tuned for fun Easter themed crafts and activities coming next week!
