On second thought, better not. You’ve seen what I do with the budget. 🙂
Anyone else guilty?
In this post, I’ll be sharing a few cute DIY valentines for classmate and friend exchanges as well as fun, but practical gift ideas for kids.
When I was growing up, my parents (aka mom) would surprise me and my brother with a little card and treat on the kitchen table on Valentine’s Day morning. It always made me feel special. As an adult, Brad and I have never made a big deal out of this holiday with the typical flowers, chocolates and fancy dinners. We usually celebrate with funny cards (hence where I got the quote at the beginning of this post) and a homemade dinner. But now that we have Laney and Morgan, it’s been fun to make them feel special on this day. I make them pink pancakes for breakfast and then they get to open a little gift that evening once Brad gets home from work.
2019 was the first year we made pink pancakes. Laney had just turned 2 and Morgan was 4 months old. Funfetti now makes a pancake mix and it is hands down the best kind we have ever had. Add a few drops of red food coloring and voila, festive breakfast!
