By now, you’ve probably gathered that our family loves Craft+Boogie boxes! If you’re new here, welcome! I’m glad you’re here and I’m excited to share more about Craft+Boogie. A little over a year ago, I stumbled across Craft+Boogie on Instagram. I was so impressed by their Halloween craft box posts that I signed up to receive our first box the following month, the Thanksgiving box. And we have been loyal crafters and supporters ever since!
Now that we are once again in a season of giving and thankfulness, I wanted to share another side of Craft+Boogie. They are so much more than themed boxes and monthly subscriptions. In every monthly box we receive, there is a letter from the owner, Meghan, who shares that our purchase helped to provide 100+ craft kits for foster children that month. Meet Craft+Boogie Collective.
This division of Craft+Boogie believes in happier, craftier childhoods and I couldn’t love this more! Their website simply spells it out: “We make craft kits for kids in need to help them feel seen, loved, and connect with trusted adults through creativity.” Isn’t that so amazing?
CRAFT+BOOGIE COLLECTIVE MISSION:
To provide children with art and craft experiences that encourage self-expression, boost self-esteem, and create memorable moments of bonding with trusted adults.
They ship craft kits directly to foster families nationwide. They also work with local organizations to distribute craft kits to children in foster care, patients in children’s hospitals, students in low-income schools, and families needing emergency food and clothing relief. Every box is created and assembled by volunteers. There’s no big machines, conveyor belts nor sorting contraptions. Simply loving hands and hearts of people who want to help make a difference in the lives of children.
“Arts and crafts allow kids to communicate without words. And in scary situations, such as the transition into foster care, the simple act of holding a paintbrush and putting paint to paper can help a child feel in control. Showing off finished projects to a trusted adult can even boost a child’s self-esteem.”

This holiday season, they’re making Christmas-themed craft kits for hundreds of children in foster care across the United States. The goal was to provide 300 craft boxes for foster children, and because.of generous donations, they will be able to serve 360+ children this holiday season. That’s incredible! The boxes are shipping directly to doorsteps and will include six craft projects as well as 10-12 coloring pages, enough for multiple children to enjoy.
Fundraising is still taking place through GoFundMe as a way to bring awareness to their organization and mission. Help us spread love and joy to kids in foster care this holiday season by donating.
